The unit's 181-channel drift-free PLL tuner offers auto station setting to get you up and running as quickly as possible. Just wanna have fun? The set's Game Link button readies it for front-panel video-game access in a jiffy.
You can scan through movies at 100x normal speed, store up to 10 bookmarks per disc for easy access at a later point, and view DVDs in slow motion, in both forward and reverse (though not, of course, at the same time!). DVDs, CDs, can be played in various repeat modes, and you can set audio CDs to play in special sequence or no sequence (random).
Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals from DVDs can be routed through the player's coaxial digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. There's also a standard stereo (left/right) analog audio output for integrated stereo amplifiers and other components.
Additional features include picture zoom (1.3x, 2x, 4x), a screen saver (to help you avoid image burn-in when an image is paused for an extended period), auto power off, V-Chip parental controls, closed-caption decoding, and a trilingual onscreen display (English, Spanish, French). The set includes a convenient 47-key remote control.
